My Mimic Creations CD Rom Designed cards for the Create and Craft POW launch today

Hi Everyone, thank you for visiting my blog. This is very exciting launch of the Mimic Creations CDRom on Create and Craft today as their pick of the week. I was very lucky to be chosen to take part in making these samples and loved every minute from putting the cd in my laptop to the memories that all the images brought back to me. I did my samples whilst on a Easter break in Lincolnshire with my Parents who have just arrived in the UK so my crafting stash was very limited, I got my material five minutes before I departed on my trip with printer, laptop and a suitcase of other crafting goodies and a few bits a pieces but mainly card kits, my two little doggies, my mothers little bird that was flown over in January, food and very few of my clothes! A very full corsa. Now back to the samples....

I used  what was sent to me and very little else, I chose the images from the cd which had so much it took me about an hour just deciding how I was going to do these cards as their were different ways of printing them out, and then envelopes to go with everything, backing papers and the different styles to cut out the images... I eventually printed out the 8 cards and then set about putting my brain cells to work, I had with me very few bits, glitter, buttons, silver roses, glues bits of ribbon, (the big one is off a birthday present I got), I did not have my cutting board with me so could not cut any shapes etc. I must say that with ease anyone, does not matter how much experience you have can make these cards, I have made these simple cards without any cutting machine or over embellishing the cards. I found that the printer ink was not used up, but then I always look at the amount of colour on the images and chose accordingly, I also find that my red is used up the most in all my craft printing so always have a spare, but in this case I did not need it.

I hope you like my cards and please if you can check out the POW on www.createandcraft.tv  you will see more of the samples and whats on the CDRom.

Thanks for stopping by.  Debbie T

What a start to April

Hi Everyone, sorry for not posting anything yet on my blog for April, I have a few items to put on but they are not on my camera so have to wait for the photos to be sent to me. I had a BIG birthday at the beginning of the month and was very lucky to spend it with my Mother and Father and some close relatives, my Parents have now arrived in the UK to live so its been a very busy few weeks and on top of me having a birthday there were another 3 in the same week and a Anniversary for an Uncle and Aunt and the lovely thing was that they all live with in a few miles of each other in Lincolnshire, I am the only one to live about 2 hours drive away so I stayed in a cottage on the farm with my little doggies (the cottage was I am sure 100 years old !) and my Parents. I managed to do some crafting in between all the other things. The weather was not great but it was fine with a fire in the lounge it was nice a cosy. I got same lovely gifts and a lovely charm watch from my Sister and jewellery and clothes plus craft goodies (Thank you everyone) - how spoilt am I ! I am now back at home and getting back to my normal routines.

I will be putting some lovely DT cards on my blog on Friday at 12.01 UK time so please stop by to have a look, I am sure you will enjoy them and they will bring you many a happy memory.
